Hi Everybody,
Well the 2009 Spring PaddleFlorida event is now history and we had a great time. I took some pictures and have posted them here. It is a public web album so everyone should be able to access them. Since I will be sending invites to family and friends, I will be including pictures sent to me by others as well as my own. This means that the album is not done yet, since I will add some from photos not yet sent to me, but everything from my own camera is already there. Whenever I use someone else's photo I will always credit that person in the caption.

Thank you so much for sharing your pictures--I was unable to make the trip and they were lovely! How many paddlers ended up going this year? Did anyone do a daily blog or journal? Tell those of us temporarily land-locked of the journey?
I'm very pleased to see that Smokey was allowed to accompany you!!

Yes, Smokey proved to be a very good ambassador for his breed. I don't think there was anybody who didn't like him.
It was a pretty good turn-out, although I don't think there were as many as for the Fall paddle. Hard to tell as they weren't all committed to the whole thing. Bill would know. I'd guess between 60 and 100. I don't know if anyone kept a journal. It was a bit challenging on the long legs as the current was not what anyone anticipated, due to the drought. The outfit that did the food did a pretty good job. Even with all the long days I still put on about 4 lbs. (Southern style cookin' yah know!)
