We started planning for Paddle Florida in June, 2007 and staged our first event in March, when over 150 paddlers traveled 123 miles in a fun-filled seven days on the Suwannee River. We are now planning our second event for November, 2008.

Re: Paddle Florida DVD and Jetter's DVD

There are two DVDs. One professionally produced video and a DVD of stills with music in the background. To order the video, one must send a check for $25 to the Paddle Florida P.O. Box on the website. To order the DVD of stills, one must contact Walt Jetter at the e-mail listed for him on under the staff/contact us menu item on the website. I believe he is charging $20 for that DVD.

For those of you who have not seen the DVD of still pictures and music produced by Walt and Sally Jetter, you are really missing out. It is fantastic!

The 55 minute video of our March event is available for purchase. Get your copy today!

At this point in time we are planning to do Paddle Florida on the Suwannnee this November and next March. After that we might explore other regions. Depending on the location(s), we would determine the maximum number.

We had a tremendously successful inaugural event, and hope to repeat that success in community-building on the Suwannee River in November. Stay tuned to the website, blog and forum for updates.

The video for our inaugural event is nearly complete, and we may have some additional announcements soon concerning other technology and web-based projects.
